Katie Grace, Ph.D., is a court certified expert in damages analysis, lost profits, disgorgement, reasonable royalties, business valuation, financial statement analysis, valuation methodologies, and antitrust damages.  She has submitted over 35 expert reports, has been disposed multiple times, and has testified in three trials.

Dr. Grace has experience in business disputes and breach of contract damages, price fixing and collusion, econometrics, financial statement analysis, business valuation, public finance, and financial economics. She served as a professor at Wofford College and Furman University, where she taught business, accounting, and finance courses related to corporate finance, financial statement analysis, business valuation, investments, options, macro- and micro- economics.

Dr. Grace is an expert in the following areas:

• Financial analysis: acquisitions, public offerings, private placements of financial service companies and mid-sized commercial banks
• Valuation and Valuation Methodologies: discounted cash flow analysis (DCF), comparable company, precedent transaction analyses
• Anti-trust: market analysis, anti-competitive behavior
• Damages: breach of contract, collusion
• Class-action: class certification and damages estimates

Dr. Grace has published peer-reviewed and industry papers on topics including: financial implications of public policy concerning personal income taxes, Residential Community Associations (RCAs), and public utility companies. Her research findings have been published in the Journal of Entrepreneurship and Public Policy, International Advances in Economic Research, Palmetto Promise Institute, and other journals.

Dr. Grace earned an M.A. and Ph.D. in Quantitative Economics from Clemson University and holds a B.A. in Economics and Finance from Wofford College.  She played volleyball for Wofford and now enjoys coaching her son and daughter’s basketball and volleyball teams, sailing, and gardening.

Lance has 20 years of experience in corporate finance and operating successful private businesses.   Lance started his career in banking in South Carolina where he served as Senior Middle Market Banker and Director of the bank’s New Markets Tax Credit program.  Following banking, Lance was CFO and CEO of a privately held anesthesia practice in Western North Carolina.  During his time with the company, the company grew into one of the largest anesthesia practices in the U.S., working with over 850 clinical providers and providing anesthesia for over 250,000 surgical cases per year, across 13 states.  Lance successfully led the company through a complex and challenging healthcare market by implementing sound business strategies and strong financial fundamentals.

Lance earned his MBA from the Georgia Institute of Technology and holds a B.A. in Finance with a minor in Economics from Wofford College.  Lance played baseball for Wofford and now enjoys coaching his son’s baseball teams and managing a regenerative farm in the mountains.
